The Tanza Trust was established on 10th February 2011, and registered with the Charity Commission in March 2011.
The Trust grants funds to individuals and organisations to support their work in 2 areas:
A. in combating socio-economic deprivation and its effects in north London, with particular interest in children and young people in and around the Trust’s immediate locality (London NW3);
B. in the composition of new classical music for harp (both solo and in small chamber ensembles), with an emphasis on works with instrumentation such that they can realistically be expected to be performed regularly and to become part of the harp repertoire.
Individuals and organisations wishing to apply to the Trust for support should in the first instance send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org setting out the nature of their activities in general, the purpose for which an application might be made, and an estimate of the amounts that might be sought. Any such email does not need to be long or to go into lots of detail – it is to offer the Trust a basic screening opportunity, and to save time and potentially unnecessary effort on the part of applicants.
